Sally and Colin’s Wedding! Xx

At the end of August, I was delighted to be asked to capture Sally and Colin’s special day.  I had been contacted and hired by one of Sally’s daughters and met Sally about a month before the wedding for the first time to discuss the finer details.  I feel it is important where possible to meet with my clients before their special occasion or event as I think it helps ease some of the nerves many people feel about having their photos taken.

I like to try and explain my motives and structure a plan for the day with my clients so that they know what to expect but also so that I can disappear into the background and capture those lovely candid shots but also be especially present and assertive when necessary such as with the group shots.  I also love to get to know my clients a little bit and it was lovely to hear from Sally about her and Colin’s families, a little bit about them as a couple as well as just enjoying a bit of wedding chat (and I do love wedding chat!!).

Sally and Colin’s wedding took place on a beautiful summer’s day in Windsor with the ceremony at the Windsor Guild Hall and the reception at the Harte and Garter hotel opposite the castle. Both venues are beautiful on both the inside and outside and perfectly situated for a wedding party to enjoy the sights and attractions that the picturesque borough has to offer, not to mention being a short drive from the infamous Long Walk (cue our lovely shots of Sally and Colin enjoying a short walk and some time to catch their breath amidst the festivities on the Queen’s driveway).

Sally, Colin,you both looked amazing and it was a pleasure to meet and capture you and your loved ones on your special day! Huge congratulations again!! Enjoy your slideshow and your gallery which is now ready to view.  Looking forward to working on the album!!
